First United Methodist Church will host its 3rd annual, all-women community event, this year entitled "The Girl's Still Got It" to be held at the church on Saturday, February 15, 2014.
The keynote speaker will be Liz Curtis Higgs, a gifted professional speaker, known by her audiences as AN ENCOURAGER. Liz has presented more than 1,700 inspirational programs in all fifty United States and fourteen foreign countries. Based on her 2012 nonfiction best-seller, The Girls' Still Got It, Liz will offer a twenty first century take on the book of Ruth, dishing out meat and milk, substance and style, in a highly entertaining, and deeply personal journey with two of the Good Girls of the Bible, Naomi and Ruth, that will have the audience both crying and laughing at the same time.
The February 15th event will be held at First United Methodist Church, 1750 20th Street, Vero Beach. Times are 9 AM to 2:30PM. Interspersed with special music, the day will be divided into two morning sessions with a break, lunch, and one afternoon session. Tickets for The Girls' Still Got It are $25, in advance (lunch included), and are available from the church (772-562-1900) or from the Cultural Council of Indian River County (772-770-4857).
