Special Artwork Highlights Holy Week Story
Sebastian-- Palm Sunday service at Christ the King Lutheran, 1301 Sebastian Blvd., Sebastian, features the writings of Max Lucado and the special artwork of local artist Dave Sandgren and his mother, Nancy Sandgren.

The worship service begins outdoors at 9 a.m. with the Palm Sunday Gospel. (Chairs will be available.) The service then moves indoors with the waving of the palms and singing of "All Glory, Laud and Honor."

The worship service, led by the Rev. Karen Leedahl, continues with the telling of the story of Holy Week through music, and scripture, highlighted with Max Lucados writings and the artwork of Sandgren and his mother, Nancy.

Holy Week Worship
Christ the King Lutheran invites visitors and area residents to the special Holy Week services remembering the last week of Jesus life on earth: the Last Supper, his crucifixion on the cross, the vigil and his joyful resurrection on Easter.

They are scheduled as follows:
1) Maundy Thursday Worship (Holy Communion, Rite of First Communion, stripping of the altar), 7 p.m., March 28
2) Good Friday Tenebrae Service (Traditional Service of Light and Darkness), 7 p.m. March 29
3) Holy Saturday (Modified Easter Vigil with candlelight), 4:30 p.m. March 30.
4) Easter Sunday (Festival Worship Service of Easter Joy!), 9 a.m. March 31
